Here are some pictures of the shuttle Atlantis launching off at 10:17 am on 9-9-2006. These were taken in the street in front of our house. I couldn't believe how the red didn't show up in the camera, because it was awesome looking with the binoculars. We love to watch the launches from our home. Once the "cooler" weather comes, we are planning a field trip to see a launch from the launch site!! I can't wait. Posted by Picasa

No we can't hear it. When it comes back, we hear a very large boom.
It is fun!!
