August 31, 2006

We have had a busy week. Getting back into school has been hard for all of us. Then we had to prepare for Hurricane Ernesto. Thank goodness he didn't do anything to us. He still is a concern for Georgia and the Carolina's.
Dylan's writing assignment today was to reflect and write a memory about the month of August, it could be a favorite school activity, movie, whatever he wanted to write about. He forgot it was suppose to be for August and wrote about February and how we made the candy clock to learn time!! I am glad that he has some great memories about homeschooling!! Makes me feel better about it!!!
Trina is doing well and got another 100 in Spanish!! I am so proud of her work. She laughs at me when I try to help her and read the Spanish!! Oh well, we must laugh more!!
We are looking forward to a three day weekend with no school, and having Dad home!! We start Religious Education next week. With me teaching 1st grade again. That's all for now!!<

August 24, 2006

Today was a good day. Dylan had a friend come over to do history class with us. They really liked doing it together. Of course, Katrina didn't want to do her work. She would rather do the fun and easy things!!! The top cave painting is Dylan's and the bottom is Katrina's.

Katrina is doing wonderfully in her Language Arts class and her U.S. History class. She says that Spanish is tooo hard for her, but once I sit with her and walk her through it..she can't believe how easy it is!!! One word.....LAZY!! LOL!!!

Dylan's guitar lesson was cancelled. His instructors father in law passed away. So I made the kids a card to sign and sent it to him.

Weather was rainy today....I don't mind.....God watered my herbs for me!!!

Hope you all are doing well. Posted by Picasa

Guitar playing kids

Trina and Dylan had their first guitar lessons this week. Dylan's guitar was too small for him, so we had to buy him a 3/4 guitar. He was so excited and couldn't wait till Dave got home.
They had a good day doing school work today.

Homeschooler in Florida

Today was a busy day. We went to church, then to Publix for some fresh fruit and veggies, then on to pick up Patches from the vet.
She is doing well and glad to be home.
We did a little bit of school work. It is sooo hot here it is hard to get started!!!
Mass was very uplifting today. Glad I made the kids go.

Gonna go and have some strawberry shortcake.

God Bless!!!

Dave got a placque for Outstanding Board Member.

Derby season is starting next month. I HAVE TO GET IN SHAPE. It is such hard work!!!

Well, we have slowly started homeschooling. Kat is doing Spanish II on line. Dyl has continued with reading from last year. Next week we will add Algebra for Kat and Math 3 for Dyl. I am going to start slow since it is soo hot and it is SUMMER!!!
Patches is going to the vets on Monday to get fixed.

This is my first attempt at blogging, so I will try to keep up on it.
